Dance Sport / Competition Team
The competition team participates in several collegiate Dancesport competitions throughout the year, including our own Irish Dancesport Gala. They also perform at several campus venues, such as the Welsh Family Dance Show. They meet for extra practice once or twice a week with local instructors.

Competition Team Info
The cost is $10 in addition to Social club fee of $35 for either American, International, or both.
As a club, we will be attending at least 3 competitions this year (Purdue in November, Valparasio in January, and Michigan in February). For the club to cover your cost to these competitions, you must be in good standing with the club (please see the attendance policy). However, any member of the ND/SMC Ballroom club can attend our Irish Dancesport Gala for free. Individuals are strongly encouraged to attend additional competitions throughout the year.
This year, we have 2 fund raising events that competition team memebers are expected to help with:
- Concession Stand, September 5 (Nevada) at the Flag Pole
- Irish Dancesport Gala, March 27, 2010, Century Center in Downtown South Bend
